The Galleria Doria Pamphilij is among the most interesting private collections in Rome.
It is hosted in the noble residence of the family. The collection started by Camillo Pamphilj, nephew of Innocentius the X, in 1644. After he became cardinal he refused the position in order to marry Olimpia Aldobrandini. She brought as a dowry precious paintings of the 1500 of the Venetian area with pieces of Titian, Raphael and Lotto.
In the 1763 the family not having male heirs joined the family of the Doria. Which is the main reason for the rearrangement of the exhibition.

Centrale Montemartini
Interesting example of an exhibition space in the urban context, such as the one of industrial archeology, because it is using the rooms of an old electric station as an exhibition space for a series of works of art of the Capitoline collection that otherwise would not be displayed.

Musei Capitolini
It is the first Public museum in the world. It was established in 1471 thanks to the donation of Sistus the IV of 4 bronze statues to the people of Rome. Among them the "Capitoline She-wolf".
